So this is something that happened.
You’re probably all, “Oh shit! That little guy looks so familiar.” That’s because he is. Apparently Darren Hayes, the littler fellow of Savage Garden, ain’t dead and gone. Oh no. Instead, he’s mashing up Hall & Oates with his own Madonna cover.
Confused? Hayes explains “Talk Talk Talk” in this excerpt from his FB page disclaimer:
I realise that no one understands precisely why I chose these songs. I told this story to one of my managers recently and she said ‘You have to tell people this story - I had no idea you had such a personal connection to these songs, I thought it was random!’ And I smiled smugly and said ‘There’s a reason for everything I do!’ And here it is.
Aaand I’ll cut it off there. Basically he has a deep, personal connection to Hall & Oates’ “Out Of Touch” and Madonna’s “Angel” because they both hail from two of the first records he bought with his own money. Touching stuff, dude.
Now let’s wash ourselves clean of all this (did you see that herk’n’jerk?) with a classic couples’ skate jam, shall we?
