I took part in something identical to this during my visit to Portland last month. We hit a bunch of the local breweries, including Rogue (who has a label that everyone swears features a bald/fat image of my dad), propelled only by the sheer force of some decidedly indoorsy friends, family and Cay’s 80-year-old-plus grandmother.
The peddles had resistance akin to a rapidly rusting beach cruiser. Apparently the contraption was anti-short people. The seats sat high above the useless peddles, forcing vertically-challenged folks like your humble narrator to alternate stand-pedaling with lady-bits-mashing.
It was cool.
